In this role, you will ensure Act for Peace has the processes, facilities, technology and equipment required to run efficiently and effectively so that everyone is empowered to bring their best. You will manage the functions of HR, technology, operations and office management. You will also be providing high level support to the Board, CEO and COO.

This is a fast paced, hands on and diverse role that requires energy, initiative, attention to detail, service, relationship management, stakeholder management, pro-active organisation and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will bring high level operational management experience and an intuitive, curious and collaborative mindset.

The Head of Movement Mobilisation exists to build and strengthen Act for Peace’s movement for peace by leading strategies that connect, equip, and empower communities of faith to take collective action. This role is responsible for developing and implementing relational organising, leadership development, and mobilisation initiatives that transform parishioners, churches and members of the community from supporters into active movement builders.

By fostering deep relationships, growing distributed leadership, and driving impactful campaigns, the Head of Movement Mobilisation ensures Act for Peace becomes a catalyst for systemic change and a backbone organisation for a courageous and enduring movement for peace.

Reporting to the Chief Engagement Officer, the Philanthropy Manager will lead Act for Peace’s philanthropy program, responsible for delivering sustainable income growth from major donors, trusts and foundations, gift in wills, as well as the working capital fund. 

This donor-facing role manages a personal portfolio of high-value supporters and provides strategic leadership. You will work closely with the CEO, Chief Engagement Officer, and senior leaders to strengthen existing relationships, identify new opportunities, and ensure high-quality donor experiences that deepen long-term support. 

You will also: 

  • Lead cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to secure high-value gifts 
  • Provide strategic leadership and line management for the Gifts in Wills program 
  • Develop tailored proposals, cases for support, and stewardship materials 
  • Contribute to long-term philanthropic strategy and income growth initiatives 
  • Represent Act for Peace externally, engaging with church and community networks

Act for Peace seeks consultancy support to develop a MEL System for Phase 2 of Walking the Talk, as part of a new 2-year project design.

Scope:

This collaborative process would involve Act for Peace Partnerships and Programs team (5 people). We expect that this work can be completed by end October 2025.
This MEL system needs to be simple and easy for partners and Act for Peace staff to use.

Act for Peace will provide:

– Walking the Talk Theory of Change
– Walking the Talk Evaluation report
-Walking the Talk Phase 1 MELF

Consultant deliverables:

– Facilitate a consultative MEL system development process with Act for Peace staff
-Produce a MEL Framework for Walking the Talk project
-Develop tools and templates or recommend cost effective software to efficiently capture quantitative and qualitative data on a range of activities including training, communities of practice, conference attendance, pilot activities in communities, technical support, etc

Estimated number of hours:

Max 6 days including preparation.

The purpose of this consultancy is to conduct a GEDSI review for its global project, Walking the Talk:

• Develop a plan for conducting a GEDSI analysis for a global project with participating partners in 16 countries globally
• Coordinate GEDSI analysis including Act for Peace staff and any partner staff as needed
• Provide recommendations for strengthening GEDSI elements of the project.

This Consultancy is to conduct a GEDSI Analysis on global project Walking the Talk guided by the
newly created GEDSI Tool.

Expectation is that this work will take 5 days. We hope it can be completed by end October 2025.

Act for Peace will provide:
• Walking the Talk Theory of Change
• Walking the Talk Evaluation Phase 1
• GEDSI Analysis tool
• AdPlan comments and responses from ANCP

The deliverables of this Consultancy include:

1. Prepare a plan for GEDSI Analysis of global project including methodology and reasonable accommodations as needed
2. Undertake GEDSI analysis and provide GEDSI Analysis report including introduction, desk review, key analysis questions, assumptions and risks, methodology, recommendations for GEDSI-specific outcomes including how these will be monitored.
