About – Our purpose

To create, together, a world where people uprooted by conflict and disaster have a safe place to belong.

Our VIsion

A world where everyone belongs

Never before have so many people been without the peace of a safe place to call home.

Today more than 122 million* people are without the peace of a safe place to belong. That’s 1 in every 67 people around the world who have had to flee their homes to safety due to conflict and disaster.

For many their journeys are long, often spanning multiple months and countries. Only to arrive in places where they may not speak the language nor have an identity – where they are nameless, stateless and homeless. Where they have nowhere to go, but forward.

And we’re here to stand with them every step of the way home.

about us

We are an international humanitarian agency that works with and for people around the world who are uprooted by conflict and disaster.

We specialise in addressing displacement through facilitating locally led programs. And by amplifying the voices of people who are displaced.

From addressing climate displacement in the Asia Pacific, to providing pathways out of poverty in Africa, and helping people find safety in exile in the Middle East. Across all of our programs we back local organisations and the communities they serve, to create lasting change. We do this by helping to empower people to rebuild their lives.

“I am very grateful to the Australian supporters for providing education in our school. There were no equal opportunities. Boys were encouraged more to get education. A lot has changed. Now, girls have gained a lot of confidence and they also want to study.”
