Once you have decided what type of gift you would like to leave to the Christmas Bowl, your solicitor will help you make sure your wishes are carried out.
You can use the following wording to include Act for Peace in your Will:
‘I bequest [the whole/a percentage/residue/ fixed amount] of my estate to Act for Peace Ltd [or successor organisation] (ABN 86 619 970 188, registered address: L7, 379 Kent Street, Sydney) for the Christmas Bowl appeal for the purpose it shall determine. This bequest will be free of all duties. The receipt of this bequest by any authorised officer of Act for Peace Ltd shall form valid discharge to my executor.’
To ensure your gift reaches us, it is important to use our full legal name (Act for Peace Ltd) and registered Australian Business Number (ABN 86 619 970 188).
Already have a Will?
You can add a codicil. If you’re happy with your current Will but would now like to leave a gift to the Christmas Bowl, you can ask your solicitor to add a codicil. It needs to be signed and witnessed in the same way as your Will.

Stephanie Lenert
Stephanie joined Act for Peace in 2023 as Development Manager and plays an active role in the Marketing and Communications Department. She comes from a community services background with extensive experience in client-facing roles. Her professional experience and passion for helping others drives her to advocate for global communities. She uses her relationship experience to develop meaningful connections with supporters to identify projects of interest for major gifts. As a point of contact for Act for Peace’s Gift in Wills program, Stephanie provides care and direction to those wanting to leave a legacy long into the future.

Andy Corkill
Andy joined Act for Peace in 2017, after returning home to Sydney from years of living in Perth, Melbourne and New York. He brings experience working closely with Churches, community groups, and refugee families, as well as extensive knowledge in relationship fundraising and estate planning. Most recently, Andy was the Executive Secretary – Major Gifts and Planned Giving at the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, which includes UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief, another Act Alliance Partner.
