Gaza Emergency Appeal

Recent protests by those living in the Gaza strip have been met with live ammunition from the Israeli military. More than 60 people have died, and another 2,800 injured.

This violence has led to a medical emergency in Gaza, where access to medical care was already a challenge because of a blockade that has been in place since 2007.

Even before the recent outbreak of violence, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator Jamie McGoldrick said that “Without donor-funded emergency fuel distributed to critical water, sanitation and health facilities, we would face a total systems collapse, with the result, a humanitarian disaster.”

The increased need has left hospitals and medical clinics in Gaza overwhelmed. With medication and electricity already scarce, the situation is dire.

Our partner in Gaza operates three health care clinics in the Gaza Strip. These clinics provide vital services to vulnerable and economically disadvantaged people, and the current crisis is putting even greater strain on already overstretched resources.

Please help provide desperately needed medical and psychosocial care for families living in Gaza with a gift today.
