Government humanitarian aid cuts come with a human cost.

Around the world, nations are slashing their aid budgets having a catastrophic impact on people displaced due to conflict & disaster. People who are in crisis. People who are unable to work in the country they’ve fled to and rely on aid to survive and rebuild their lives. People like the thousands of families living in refugee camps on the Thailand Myanmar border (pictured above).

These cuts represent immediate threats to lives, dignity, and decades of humanitarian progress.

Australia’s aid contribution has fallen to just 0.68% of the Federal Budget.

As Australia prepares to head to the polls, we want to unite and how our support for Australian Aid. To call on our politicians to show generosity, empathy and leadership.

Together, let’s call for our leaders to rebuild Australian aid to 1% of the Federal Budget. It’s just a tiny increase, but it would have a significant impact.
