Training for a Teacher

Empower the next generation of girls in Pakistan by providing teachers with the tools and training they need to deliver quality education.

Social and cultural restrictions for girl’s education in remote communities in Pakistan has often resulted in early marriages and  girls dropping out of school.

Your gift will equip teachers with the skills they need to create a positive learning environment to help students reach their full potential.

“Act for Peace provides teacher training on positive discipline and child-centred learning to engage children in group work and discussion. It has helped me manage a large composite class while giving the children some responsibilities for their own learning. As a result many children are staying in school and are happier.”
- Mrs Basra, school teacher

More ways to take action

Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya families have fled from violence and persecution in Myanmar. Currently living in makeshift camps in Bangladesh, they urgently need our help.

By giving a monthly gift, you can help bring safety, justice and dignity to people around the world who have fled from conflict and natural disasters.

Take the Act for Peace Ration Challenge during Refugee Week (June 2018) to raise money in support of refugees who have lost everything, and challenge perspectives – including your own.
